# Return on ad spend (ROAS)

Revenue attributed to advertising divided by the corresponding ad spend.

Revenue attributed to advertising divided by the corresponding ad spend.

## An example

A campaign with $2,000 in attributed revenue and $500 in spend reports a ROAS of 4, or 400%.

## Why it matters

ROAS excludes costs unless explicitly included and does not establish incremental profit.
